1986 300 E wont stay running
turns over and starts but will not run. removed air cleaner and i hear a clicking sound generating from the throttle body/carb when the ignition is on. clicking sound stops when the motor starts. not sure where to start...

Can you hear your fuel pumps run when you turn the key to the on position? You should hear a humming sound coming from the back of the car for a few seconds when you turn the key to the on position. If no sound, suspect a bad Fuel Pump Relay.
