welling to purchase
Hello fellows,
I have couple questions before I purchase a W124 and I need a help.
I found W124 E200, 1988 model. In very good shape and condition. Has no options, manual windows and mirrors, no air-conditioning bla bla etc; and I have no complains about that, I am somehow antique guy as I am offered a good price as well. The engine is 2000 cc carburetor and 4 speeds manual gear box.
However, I am a bit worried because the eingine is carburetor, not injection and the gear box has 4 speeds only, I think it will suck the gas and will have low milage (where i live we have km/l).
My questions are, is it possible to change the cylinders head and convert it from carburetor to injection system? If not, then can I modify easily install new engine and automatic gear box?
Can I install newer E class or C class engines and gears without effecting the chasse or ruining anything in the car?
I am even trying to contact MB showroom and after sale service center in my country.
I really thank you for any support you can help me with.
Cheers.
