Euro lights added but now the security alarm goes off
I have a 1991 300te with a facelift kit I had and accident on the front end one day. My headlights hood and grill where all damaged. I been replacing the parts that was damage. I bought some after market Headlight and corner lights they look great on the car. I had to rewire from 4 pin to new 5 pin. I used the wiring from the internet but now my security alarm is going crazy. It goes off after I get out the car about 20 - 30 mins later. I have to disconnect the ground wire on the lights.

My guess is that it is a coincidence...
Headlight wiring should have nothing to do with the security system.
Accident could have damaged/weakened switches/sensors in the security system
The Becker security module tends to fail as it ages and best just to disconnect.
If you pull your passenger side foot well carpet you'll see a metal plate secured by one lower screw.
Take the plate off and you'll see the Becker module.
Pull the two black plugs from the module and your security system is disconnected.
Don't touch the red plug.
A side benefit from disconnecting the security system is to get rid of a constant battery drain which can cause an older battery to die if you don't start the car a few times a week.

No, the hood is the same but I re bent the hood back to line up with fenders, only a 1/4 inch off. The hood has be the same for a few months now and no alarm until now. only thing I have going on right now is my back door window Regulator has broken and i took the door panel off, until I get my new Regulator.
