Exclamation W124 HELP-WIRING-HELP

Ok

I've done some searching and I can't find any threads/problems similar to mine.

Basically this happened all @ once while I was driving. My outside temp display, temp gauge, oil press gauge, fuel gauge, tachometer, turn signal, brake lights, reverse lights, and blower motor don't work. Park lights all work still, headlights work. Cluster illumination works, speed-o works, economy gauge works.

Basically anything that pertains to Fuse # 5, 6 and 7 doesn't seem to work. There could be more things @ fault but I haven't finished checking. I changed the fuses to the same style fuse but with copper center (I think) from EBAY, the old ones were not blown. I fiddle with the fuses and everything worked for a second but then went back off. I did notice a little bit of plastic that melted around Fuse 7. OVP had a 15amp fuse, cleaned the fuse contacts and put it back in, wasn't blown.

I haven't done anything to fix it yet, I hope its the W1 ground behind the cluster or X63 connection or whats worse it could be the fuse box I guess.

But has anyone got a clue as to what is going on?

Without having looked at a wiring diagram, it appears that you 15 circuit (with key turned to position 1 & 2) is not supplying power. I recommend checking you ignition switch. Give it a giggle etc...
