Removing the antiquated Grand Prix tape/radio from the 124 dash

Although I have seen many explanations as to how one should remove the Becker grand Prix from the dash of the 86-93 124 body, none matchthe method described in Mercedes' own service manual. There is no need to lift the console wood, or use a coathanger to remove the face of the radio. Simply remove the ashtray and depress the two spring tabs at the bottom of the head unit and pull it forward. P.
