Hard to tell from the remote:
Where has the car been driven?
Check for corrosion on inside fendors, spring domes, door sills, jack holes, door window frames.
Check the floor panel for dents
Check A/C thouroughly (maybe have a professional look at it) could be expensive to fix
Check Autom. very expensive if worn out
Check head gasket (is oil in the coolant, or water in the oil)
Check the rubber joints of the front and rear axle (sway bars...), if worn or broken
Check the rear axel rubber bearings (4 off) for squeeks, if loose, broken or cracked
Check oil for leaks of the engine. "Sweating" is not a bad sign, but leaks can be.
Not to scare you, the cars are great, but only if they have been given a minimum of attention during the past 17 years. You also need to be aware that with that age now or then you'll have minor problems which are in most cases simple to fix by a halfway handy DIY and the necessary documentation.
