no air out of bottom vents

I never get hot or cold air out of the vents by my feet, on either the passenger or driver side.

Does anyone have any ideas?

It would be nice to be able to warm up my feet this winter....

The air flow is controlled by vacuum-operated actuators, which are located behind the trans. tunnel carpeting. Remove the carpet and locate the actuator. Hook up a vacuum pump to check for proper function. The diaphragms can leak and lose vacuum.

If this isn't the problem, check the switchover valve block, located behind the glove box.

The point of trouble could be the pushbutton control unit.
