Idle Issue
Hey guys after a few years I've finally come back to the W124's and purchased a 1992 300E
Love the car but I've got a real issue that i just can't seem to fix and its becoming a real headache
The Issue I'm having is the car is idling at around 1500RPM and there is a slight miss in park and neutral and I can not get it down
The car idles at correct speed in drive and reverse but still misses slightly (not as bad as in park) and it drives fine and there is no issue when driving and there is no miss
Things Replaced so far are
Leads and plugs
Dizzy cap
Rotor Button
OVP Relay
Coolant temp sensor
O2 sensor
Tested 2 different Idle air control valves (no change)
Checked for vacuum leaks
we then disconnected the vacuum hose to the EZL (ignition control module) and the car then idled fine with no issue what so ever
Now before I bite the bullet and fork out around $300 for a used unit, has anyone had this issue or know whether it is possible that this is the unit causing the idle issue

Is fuel supposed to enter the air chamber underneath the fuel distributor?
Because when I switch off the vehicle and push down on the chamber flap and look inside I can see the bottom of the chamber filling with fuel and running down the venturi.
