So this was lowered by 1.5 inches using H&R sport springs, sport Bilstien front and normal shocks in the back that, 16 OEM e320 1996 wheels, and 215 r55 bridgestone serenity plus tires. Also had the entire suspension reviewed and parts replaced as needed also replace rear bumper and repaint paint the front,( it was beginning to peel and show it's age) at the same time.
No one that I have shown the car to can tell me what work I did to it...when I explained what i did to it they are shocked they cant see the difference, it just looks alittle sportier. LOL mission accomplished.
If not for this website i would have never been able to get this done. I was provided with enough info and data to make the decision I needed and find my own parts to meet my need, I also upgraded the wheel caps LOL. the car looks exactly the way i want it to, its Almost factory fresh with an updated look and it rides better than I was originally thinking it would, always a nice surprise.
I also included a cabin shot to show the new updated stereo.. Bluetooth, sat, mp3 and so forth ...
I have one project left.. not sure its possible... I need to make the seat more comfy and thoughts on that front::

Great question... I was asking myself the same thing ... well that was what pelican had.. when I checked again they had nothing else listed ... so I assumed (bad idea to assume) that std was all that would fit... the jury is out on the rear shocks it just does not feel right. I guess i should check the bilstien site ??Originally Posted by Saijin_Naib
May I ask why you went with standard shocks in the back?
Update: I just checked the Bilstein site and there seems to be a sport shock for the rear.... looks I am calling Pelican back and ask a couple questions.. and I did ask why they choose the std part ...
Update: I just called Pelican on this.. my faith in the human race has been restored LOL. they are taking back the installed parts, shipping the new ones free, provided a discount on the new ones.... I still have an install cost to deal with but I am happy... with the result. Net Net I will have the sport shocks in the rear not the STD ones ....

Looks nice man...the poor Cabs look like off-roaders with the springs and pads they gave us. That look you provided really makes the car sit proper.
I miss the 95' Cab I had very much. It was same color as Mr Naib's coupe....sigh.

looks great man, totally updates the look but in a way that you couldn't put your finger on if you didn't know!
those wheels can't be off an e-class though i don't think... 1996 was W210 and they had altogether different wheels. I'm thinking those are off an S class, not an E?

This one runs very well 94k miles, no oil leaks of any kind, after I replaced the headgasket. it sat in the garage for the last 5 years after I replaced a bunch of stuff like wiring harness, HG and other minor stuff.. waterpump and so forth. Now I decided to take it to the next level and update the look and sound and drive it again.. it only get about 100 miles every 2 weeks.Originally Posted by Jim's500E
