Iv'e just got a 230e 89',and was looking through the handbook last night and couldnt find heated mirrors, back screen yes but no mirrors.
I also wondered if I can fit a "proper" sized mirror on it,now yes I know they odd sized thats the way Merc disign them for some crazy reason only they know!,but can I fit say a mirror from the 500 or so,or some other model,that has heated mirrors,and wire it up accordingly?
I tell you,think about it 14 years or so when they were new they cost 20k+,and things like heated/leather seats,mirrors ect were in Merc eyes "optional",I think thats absolute crap.I mean I had Saab 9000 turbo also an 89' it had leather heated seats,heated mirrors ect as standard,and it was the same kind of price as this when new.
So what the hell are Merc "all about",I also just got an e-mail from a guy who's just bought a 500sel 87' and his hasnt got heated mirrors.
I know Merc can make bloody good cars,but they should have got their act together with their so called "optional extra",dont you think!!
