2000 Mercedes e320 Trans Issue

I was driving my Mercedes 2000 e320 and all of a sudden my car won't go forward. The car revs up when I press the gas pedal but the car wont go forward. I turn the car off and wait a minute and turn it back on and it works normal for several yards of driving and then it does the same thing. There is no check engine light on. What may be the issue? The transmission fluid is good, engine oil is good, the timing belt is in place, and I had my conductor plate replaced a few months ago.

I would be looking at the Electronic Transmission Control unit (ETC). If its not that then you are into $$$$. Possibly a rebuild.

Did you check the engine coolant? Make sure is clean. If it's pink then you might have a radiator failure and transmission oil is mixing with coolant.

If all fluids are clean and judging that you just replaced the conductor plate, you might be looking at a transmission oil pump failure.

The check engine light came on, I took it to the shop and they say its the conductor plate. I just recently replaced my conductor plate and they say if its not that then it may be the transmission. The coolant is fine and the fluid level is good. These mechanics take too many guesses.

They need to pull it apart, to have a good look. Hard to diagnose when you are guessing.
