Squeaky Wheel

Hey everyone, could use some help diagnosing, and hopefully solving a problem. Once I hit about 20 mph the rear drivers side wheel begins to make an oscillating squeak. After 20 mph its constant, doesn't matter if I'm braking, accelerating or just coasting. It seems to come and go totaly at random, as I first had this problem a few months ago but it went away for a while and now its back. I have replaced rotors and pads all around within the last 6 months and I believe the parking brake assembly is at fault here. Any ideas? Thanks.

I encountered a similar noise with a 1991 500SL right after I purchased it. I thought it was a piece of tire hitting the wheel well. It turned out that the connecting rod between the swing arm and the sway bar was broken. The top half of the rod was gone and the loose end of the sway bar was swinging into the tire and causing the sound. It was easily fixed with a new $10 connecting rod. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply, I went ahead and tested every piece of suspension while I was there and no play on anything. I am now sure that its something on the e brake contacting the rotor, as there was a friction point turning the hub by hand only with the rotor on.

Could be the wheel bearings. Mine caused some noise especially at high speed. Got them replaced and now very quiet and smooth.
