Car unlocks itself
I recently purchased a 1995 420e, a fantastic car. After a week of owning it, I went out into my garage to get in, to find the doors unlocked. After being certain I had locked it, I opened the door and the front and rear lamps began to flash, ( no horn) for 2 and a half minuets. I repeated this test 6 times all with the same result, finally the car would no longer turn over with a loud clicking coming from under the passenger seat, I have asked around. And even the mechanic who has serviced the car since new, and he has never heard of this ever in his 35 years.
Has anyone experienced this and do you have any suggestions? Also there is a severe squeak on the right side of the drivers seat that is driving me crazy. Can anything be done for this?. I would really appreciate any help someone could give as I love the car, but I can't drive it anywhere without unlocking itself and sometimes not starting at all after the. Lights have flashed on and off for a while
