Help name this abnormal engine sound?? - Thanks

Hello-

I have a funny sound upon start up on my 1994 e320.....

Hopefully the link below works.

Thanks in advance for any help!!

Upon cold start up my car makes this abnormal motor boat- put put type of sound. It last for maybe 4-5 minutes until the car is warmed up and then it stops.

Any ideas?

Thanks again.

That's the smog pump. It's normal for it to make noise like that, but usually it's not as loud. It sounds healthy, but I would check the hoses that route that air into the exhaust. They are prone to cracking from heat exposure and can leak that pumped air into atmosphere. Mine sounded similar to this when the hose was removed.
