E320 Stuck in Park
Last night my daughter left the window down and roof open on our E320 over night. There was a very light rain overnight. I wiped off the seats, which were not too bad, but obviously something is now wrong. I can not get the car out of Park. I am able to use the override to get into D (first gear), but that is it. Thoughts on what may be going on?

My guess is that the pin that slides in and out blocking the selector from moving out of park unless the brake is depressed, is stuck. Sorry, I do not have any photos of his area. If you disassemble things a bit, you should be able to see this pin and also see it in action when you depress the brake with the key in the ignition.
