Sure have...Scott S. is the ultimate 500E enthusiast...and his car has all the goodies. A quite alot of 1-off custom stuff.

He even started his own 500E forum recently...www.500esctasy.com. Our own place to hang. He ROCKS !!

I wish my aunt still had the 500E/E500. How`s the 500E running Jim? Has it had any major problems such as the wiring or cooling?
Hmm, this is strange, I remember starting up the car one day, putting it into reverse, and hitting the gas a little. The car stalled. Any ideas?

Thumbs up

Mine is running fine now ; but there was a period there where I did have to (or rather my aftermarket warranty) had to spend ALOT of dough to fix all that goes wrong at 120,000 miles...like most cars at that mileage. Its all good though. The car is fun.

I spelled 'ecstasy' wrong in the above link...if yous hadn't noticed.

That`s good to hear Jim. 120,000 miles is a lot!!!!! Wow, my aunt`s benz only had 40,000 miles (it was a 1994 though). I really want to buy one now.
Yes, your link was spelled wrong, but I got to see the site. Very good!
Do have any mods on the car so far?

Yes, I have mods...the usual stuff, 18x10 AMG rims, H&R springs with Konis, y-pipe, etc.

120,000 miles is really nothing on these cars...I know someone with 325,000 miles on his 500E! IMO, 100K is just breaking it in. And FWIW, I've heard of more problems on low mileage garage queens then those with mileage and proper maint.

Now is a good time to get one...rock bottom prices !!

325,000 miles!
Yes, it`s better to use a car on a daily basis than let it sit in the garage to preserve it. Maybe trying to preserve it will make the mechanical components worse?
Where can I find one in Vancouver? I saw one in Burnaby near by with 90K miles on it. It was bought though. Are they in short supply?
One last question, what AMG rims are those you have on the 500E?

There are several 500E/E500s here in New England for sale from very low mileage ones to 100K+ mileage ones in all different price ranges....lowest I've seen was a repainted black 93' for $15.5K. Highest is a 93' grey 6.0litre RennTech one at $44K...but his price is dropping alot...it was at $52K.

I have the now rare and discontinued AMG SL 2-piece rims; which I'm still paying for BTW. (approx. $1000 each w/o tires !! ouch)I also run polished 17" EvoIIs for the track days. Shoot me your e-mail for pics if you want....I can't post here.

My dads friend lives in Wales so I could ask him do to a little homework. The 500E is a left-hand drive there as well isn`t it?
The EvoII and SL rims are soo good looking. My uncle has SL rims (2 or 3 piece) on his R129. You said $1000 for one rim!
Check your PM.
