On my '87 there are nice round lights mounted on both sides high in the C-pillar that are perfect for the rear passengers to read. I haven't seen them before and are not on my '86 or '91. Were these a Factory option?

i believe so. i seem to recall seeing them on some cars back in the day. mine has a single rear light in the middle of the headliner.

I have that middle one too that's controlled by a button on the console panel. These are on both C pillars where the top of the seat belts mount. They have a switch next to the bulb. I'd post a pic if I could.

i know the ones. they are round, throw a perfect little puddle of light to where a rear seat passenger might have a book. not enough light to distract the driver, but enough to read by.

i think they were an option.
