1995 E320 fuel pump noise
My ’95 E320 wagon has 137,000 miles in excellent shape. Recently it would not start and I had it towed to the dealer. He replaced (one of) the fuel pumps and it runs fine except the new pump is really noisy, disturbingly so. The dealer says this is normal for this car. I don’t think so but wonder if others have had this experience?

No, the pump should not be that noisy! Mine, a E320 convertible is noiseless! It would be interesting to know which pump brand your dealer did take!
Here is a nice video on how to replace a fuel filter. They start the engine at the end, so you can hear the noise.
