1994 E320 transmission cooler line leak
My transmission cooler line is leaking below the alternator, it's made quite a mess, but the car hasn't lost any measurable amount of fluid on the stick. A few drops of this stuff looks like a catastrophic failure. Anyway, what are the options? It's leaking where the fitting joins, there appears to be a threaded line at the leak.
Thanks,
-Ben

Out Of Control!!
Well if you are not concerned about the fluid loss then get some surgical gauze wrap the connection with gauze/duct tape and get on with your life!!

Because that's exactly the sort of thing I normally find done to cars, butchering... Thanks a lot for nothing. I never said anything about not being concerned. If I wasn't concerned, I'd just attempt to tighten it and hope it doesn't break.

You can place a small amount of torque, but those lines rarely come loose---you simply may have to change the line and if you do one do them both!!---are the unions the banjo type or through the nut type??
