rad leak and loss of heat

I own a 400e - i've noticed the following over the weekend. I have a top rad hose leak (flex hose) and no heat from centre vents but i still have heat from side vents. I went to Pepboys and Autozone to get a hose, neither carries the part. I've also noticed when the car is cold the leak is noticeable, but when the car warms up the leak stops. I've checked my coolant level, the level is still high, I have to wait until Monday to get a new hose. From what i can see the leak is behind the clamp, the clamp is very secure. The leak is a drip, drip kind of leak.

Also, what are the usual places to look first to find the source of the problem in loss of heat from the centre vents. Also, when I engage the heat, i hear like a scratching noise from the vents, sounds like something turning.
