Wheels
I currently have the stock 15-hole chrome wheels on my 91 300E. I think they're 15" (someone correct me if they're not), and this guy is selling 16" alloys from a newer mercedes for $300 which is a good deal I believe. Should I change my smaller chromes for larger newer alloys? Is it worth it. and will it even fit without making adjustments to the car's suspension?

You should consider if you like the looks better as I don't think they have a significant affect on performance. Since you will need new tires you may want to go ahead and look at the wheel/tire and maybe 17" choices at Tirerack.com.

That's a cool site. See, the guy is selling me four wheel with tires for $300, that's a bargain. The only I don't know is if I get 16" wheels, do I have to make any adjustments to my car? What about if I was to get 17" ones?

helps if we know what car theyre from.
you might need to change the lugnuts
but we cant make the decision for you. we can only tell you that the wheel/ tire combo will fit or it wont.

Many have fitted the later 16" E320 wheels with no problems. They're a much surer fit than the 17's and 18's wider than 7.5". The big factor is the offset (ET) which will affect clearance internally at the brakes and strut and externally where the tire meets the fender lip. Tires can have the same size spec but may have a different profile. The best thing to do is mount them on your car and turn them side to side under weight. You can also post the wheel ET, diameter, and width of the wheel to see if anyone else has mounted this specific combination. Or you can search the forum for that size. There's bound to be some information on it.
