W124 E500 Engine Drop-In
So my beloved w124 with a 1994 E500 M119 motor in it died last week...while I consider what to do from here, either part it out or put a new engine in, I was wondering if anybody knew a ballpark range for how much it should cost to buy and install the new engine?

M119's are plentiful they came in the SL and SEL also. A competent mechanic should charge you about 1500 to swap the motor plus the cost of the motor itself. How many miles are on your motor right now? I know of folks who have gotten their M119's into the 300k even 500k+ range. In my experience its a pretty straightforward motor and one that most euro car mechanics havent seen before.
