ABS problem

The ABS light is on now most of the time. When it is on, obviously I have no antilock brakes. The few times it goes out the antilock brakes work but cycle too easily. Like I'm driving on ice with some nice summer tires instead of my Bridgestone Blizzak's.
The car has 359,000.

The easiest (and cheapest) fix is the battery/alternator. If the battery or charging system are not in order, the ABS will shut-off at low voltage so more power is available to the fuel injection and other 'essential' systems.

I replaced them a few months ago. They were very dirty.

Thanks

OVP= Over Voltage Protetion relay. It sits behind the battery next to the ECU and is about 3 inches high and has a fuse sitting on the top. The originals, which say Made in Austria on them have a design flaw and the internal soldering breaks down over a period of time. Its cheap to replace @ $60 and takes 5 minutes to replace once you have removed the battery.

The correct/enhanced OVP relay part No is 000 540 67 45.

Cheers

I would go as Jer and mjtray are suggesting.
Have you also replaced the rear ABS sensor in the differential? If not try this also. The restance of a new sensor shall be 0.6 to 1.6 Ohms (if I'm not totally mistaken)
