What defines the beam pattern on the headligt?

What defines the beam pattern on the headligt?
Is it only the glass that defines the beam pattern and making it LH traffic or RH traffic useable? Is it enough to change out the glass if i have a LH traffic car(and with LH traffic headlights) that needs RH traffic lights?

In general terms, beam pattern is a combination of many factors, but primarily:
Reflector/Projector
Lens
Bulb
For LH/RH specifically, I'd imagine it is a combination of reflector and lens. From what I remember from disassembling my housings, the reflectors are the same left/right, but they're aimed differently. It might just come down to the lens on the housing.
This is all speculative, however. I honestly don't know.

Yes as far as I know the euro headlight reflectors are the same for lhd as well as rhd. There are horizontal adjustment knobs to change the light direction.
You can just swap out the glass lenses if to get the correct beam pattern for your driving side
Lhd headlight will have a downward slant on the right side. Rhd will have the downward slant on the left.
