I am hoping someone can help with an issue:


I bought a replacement lock set for a W124 Estate (Wagon), I have fitted all the locks and now need to fit the control module, part ref 124 820 59 26. Unfortunately I have no idea where it should go and was hoping someone on here may know?


Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The part number(124 820 59 26) does not register within my MBEPC as a CL control module!!

FYI: The CL system operates on a vacuum(there are no locksets) and the control module is intergrated within the vacuum pump located below the right rear seat. That part is 124 800 21 48(group 80)---Sounds like you got screwed or you are misrepresenting what you purchased, installed and or what ever---what do you think you purchased!!

Thanks for your message, the part shown is for the infra red locking system (red/green light) found on the later cars. I does not connect with the vacuum system, just the infra red receiver on the drivers door and tailgate. I am not sure if the system is used on US models, the car is a UK spec, VIN WDB1241912F344111.

Ok-I shuda waited for the VIN---SA880(IR closing feature)in any event the IR control module is in group 540(Burglary alarm system and IR closing) and and if not a retrofit the part number is 124 820 56 26---if a retrofit the part number is 129 820 41 26.

On the T model the IR control module along with the vacuum pump are under the right rear seat!!
