Rear Control Arm Kit

The rear control arms are the next item on the list for my '94 E420. I was researching what's available and found the OE Mercedes kit for ~$500, a Meyle kit for ~$240, a Karlyn kit for $175 and ECS Tuning's own kit for $347.

From my time on the various MB forums I've learned that the quality of Meyle and Karlyn's products can be hit or miss. However Lemforder's seems to be a well respected alternative to OE parts. Unfortunately none of the vendors offered a complete Lemforder kit.

I contacted FCP Euro and they have assembled a complete Lemforder W124 Rear Control Arm Kit, complete with hardware for a very competitive price, $263.99.

I hope this proves to be a benefit to W124 owners seeking a quality alternative to OE rear control arms.

The above link is not working so I am reposting:

93Corrado brought to my attention the lack of Lemforder branded options for the rear suspension. HUGE oversight on my part and excellent suggestion on his part! I put together a convenient kit with all Lemforder components. Use the "twentyoff" code for additional savings. To be clear, I have not had an opportunity to photograph the kit yet, so the image on the website is a generic file photo.

Looks like I'll have to shop your inventory next time I need stuff for my 300ce.

Thanks for the kit and the nice discount code.

Last Friday after work I began installing the Lemforder rear control arm kit that I purchased from FCP last November. I disassembled everything and began to reassemble everything with the new control arms and hardware. I finished one side and realized that the kit didn't have enough hardware to finish the second side. Apparently the kit was shipped with 4 boxes of hardware instead of the required 6. I couldn't re-use the existing hardware because the new arms used different size bolts. I left the car on jack stands and went home.

I emailed Kyle at 9 PM that night and explained the situation. I received a text at 9:30 PM asking if I still lived at the same address. I confirmed that I did and asked how quickly the parts could be shipped out to me.

Kyle replied, "I have a few boxes on the shelf. They will be in your hands tomorrow and I am truly sorry for the error on that one."

Saturday morning I woke up and picked up my phone. I saw a text from Kyle at 1:37 AM.

"The two hardware kits are on the patio chair closest to the door. Call/text me if you need anything."

I'm was in floored. Apparently later that night Kyle had driven from CT to my home in NJ (some 1.5 hours) and delivered the missing hardware.

I've been dealing with various parts vendors for close to twenty years and I've had a number of positive experiences as well as some horrendous experiences. However I have never experienced such exceptional customer service. Thanks to Kyle, I finished the installation and had my car back on the road before noon that day. Thank you Kyle! You truly are an asset to your company.
