Electrical Troubles - Need Help

My battery light has started to come on in my car when I start it. It then turns off after 20 seconds or so of running.

The little battery buzzer buzzes the whole time I am driving though. Also, all of my instruments (Save speedometer and clock) and most warning lights don't work. Also, when I open the door and the engine is running, the reminder buzzer goes off, like it doesn't even know that the car is running. Other than that the whole electrical system seems to be running normally.

I think this all started when my brake sensor light started to engage.

The fuses are all fine.

I'm sure these things are all on the same circuit somewhere, if someone could help me out in troubleshooting the problem I would be very grateful.

Have you checked your ground cable from your battery, usually weird electrical problems can be linked to the ground.

hmm...

But there are like 8 ground locations. Do you know which one would be for the instrument cluster?

Also, is there a way to visually inspect the relays?

Does this have anything to do with that OVP stuff behind the battery?

When you said the fuses are fine, did you pull them out and check? MBZ fuses can play a nasty trick with you. The fuse will look fine, but if you pull it out and inspect, you could find a tiny burn marks where the cap of the fuse contacts the fuse holder. My car does that every now and then, just like you described the buzzer thing. I then inspect all the fuses by pulling the out, and usualy I would end up replacing 4-5 of them, which fixes the problem.

hey thanks

I checked the fuses again today, and that was, fortunately, the problem.

Stupid fuses....
