Starter replacement cost

My cars starter went out (95 e320)had it towed to Mercedes repair guy (non dealer) he quoted me $525 for parts and labor with a remanufactured Bosch starter I would replace it myself but just moved here and didn't bring my tools and don't really have a place to work on it. Is this too much? Anyone have a remanufactured Bosch starter for cheap.

Right now I have to hold the bit where it holds the cylinder while turning the key so it doesn't turn both why do morons try to ghetto tune a Mercedes so dumb

He took good care of a family member's 95 E320 while attending school there. Tell them I said hello. Starter R&R is simple process but a pain to get your hands in there to disconnect the cables and also the starter.

If you are interested I have a used ignition switch/ignition lock assy. from a 95 E320 w/98k miles. $49.00 includes shipping to SLC. It does not include key or lock tumbler/cylinder. Also complete telescoping steering column (I don't think it will come to that).
