Help very important 86 300e
So I have just got my car today back from having the transmission overhaul so many dollars later
Now I still have an issue with the car it seems that when I step on the gas while taking off on a light or while driving at any speed
it sems the car takes a few seconds to acknoledge that I am trying to speed up a
for example step on the gas and a few seconds later the car sort of kicks in and then start going faster where the needle starts moving it almost seems like she takes a breath and tells me ok come on lets see
the gas pedal feels really hard and the response to accelaration is slow almost like if something was cloging her up she goes fast but the respond is slow
WHAT CAN THIS BE I DONT THINK ITS THE TRANS KICKING IN she should be fine she is basically new
could it be fuel pump or something else why does she behave like that

I had a recent tranny overhaul also and it did seem as if the kickdowns weren' t coming quick enough after i stepped on the pedal, i brought it back and the shop "tuned" it so the kickdowns would come in faster. It worked, whenever i hit it about half a second later i get a kickdown and go. I still gotta bring it back though because even though it kicks down, i basically bypass 3rd gear and go straight to overdrive when accelerating at those speeds, even with the pedal floored.

Sluggish
I undrstand that I am going to bring it back in 10 days for a finale evaluation they need to make sure no adjustment are needed they said
But does this explain why the car almost feels extremly sluggish when i hit the accelarator almost like the fuel was not enough
