Seatbelt light problem

I need some help with this. My seatbelt light constantly flashes, belt connected or not, engine running or not, key inserted or not. The only time it does not flash is when I open the door. What can I do?

It might sound crazy, but... Carefully inspect all your fuses in the fuse box. I mean pull them out one at the time and check them for cracks and burn marks. I had similar problem on my car and it was a damn fuse. It had tiny burns right where it touched the fuse holder. Since then I had couple more little electrical problems that were traced to fuses.

If Arnie's check does not help try to get the dome assembly out and lossen all the concetors and put the them back on after cleaning the contact. It might help. But this seat belt lights are a pain sometimes. Mine come on w/o any reason sometimes during driving and diappear after 10 seconds or so. Never found out why.
