No air thru central vents

I have ceased getting any air through the middle vent. I get both heat and A/C through both side vents but that's it. Is this some vacuum control problem requiring removal of instrument panel, heat exchanger, etc? Any thoughts? Thanks. Mark

Just in case you do not know, the center vents are not used for heating; cooling only.

With that said, if they do not function in cooling mode, the vacuum actuator is probably leaking. You can access it by removing the glove box.

when the heater is on, i always get air going to my feet, the only way it wont go to my feet is to have it blowing at the windshield, and if i do this then it automatically blows at max.
is this normal?

Ok this is cool,

I got heat to come out through the central vents!

I set the CC on Economy (EC) and set the dial to hottest possible and i felt warm air coming out of the center vents!

Just thought i'd share, and see if all your cars are the same.

Just an observation...

On the 124, the whole dash has to come out because there are 7 or 8 vacuum actuators, including the ones that control the center vents.
