molding on 300e 1991?

molding on 300e 1991?
What is it and waht is it made of? What should it look like? It is NOT Gold PLATE, but I dont know wehat it is or what it should look like.

1995 S320 and 1995 S500
on my car is molding around the windows and the two strips on the roof of the car. It is not gold plate. The 300E is gold plate and the Mercedes emblem is gold plate. But not the molding. What is it. it looks brass and could have been gold in color before. Now it is very oxidized. What shoudl it look like or should I say what did it look like when it was new?

The metal is anodized (spelling?), gives it that bronzey color. It fades alot over time.
If you find someone who can restore and match the color...post it please. My new top windshield trim is way darker than than the rest of the metal parts !! Darn UV rays.
