Blower motor problem resolved E320

Blower motor would not come on only slight hum. Used Pelican Parts photos. Replaced motor tested in place no luck. Replaced resistor and tested without routing all the wires all good. Old motor was also good. Installed new resistor and saved time and frustration by leaving solid aluminum heat sink in place and just replaced the resistor part, which had to be removed anyway, using the original mounting screws. Also the replacement heat sink had the mounting holes drilled with the wrong size threads and would have to be modified.

Hope you used thermal grease in between the resistor and the heat sink....or you'll be replacing it again soon.

Thanks for the info.Fortunately I did use the grease from the new resistor. Good to know for just replacing the resistor.
