1991 300e HELP
Hey, greetings from Texas!
I should start off by mentioning that i am an idiot with no experience working on any cars but a jeep i had when i was a kid. I have a question i was wondering if anyone could help me with. I have a 91 300e, i overheated it when i bought it, i. Towed it to a shop and fixed the cooling issue, new radiator, thermostat, and hoses, now it stays cool but runs very rough. It wont start or stay running unless im giving it gas, and it sounds very bad. It also takes a long time to accelerate. I dont want to scrap it or sell it for parta because I've fallen in love with the car. Any idea what it could be? I thought it might be the head gasket but theres no coolant in the oil from what i can tell.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Suggest you find a good mechanic to properly diagnose what lingering problems are there, and get a rough idea how much it would cost you to fix the more critical issues first. Mind you, it does not make sense to spend a fortune on such an old car, as you might as well get another good used one.

Check all fuses and earth points on the body remove them and clean up the contact point with emery cloth or sand paper ,and put a little grease on there before refiting it Now look in the engine depot an check out all the small vacuum pipes you can for splits and look for ones that are not conected to the engine.
