Hood (bonnet) latch mechanism painted or not?
I am doing some restorations and will be painting the radiator support. My hood latch mechanism is painted. I know the front clip on my car was painted once before but I dont know if the latch is supposed to be covered in paint or if the body shop was just too lazy to remove it. I have been looking online and some appear to be painted while others are not. I want to bring it back to factory OEM condition.

Mine, a 1990 C124 with W124.050 chassis, is'nt painted.

I'm thinking the earlier models are unpainted and the later (maybe post facelift) are.
