S124 300TE 1987 M103 dossent start when its cold or hot. only with starting fluid/gas
my car dossent start without starting fluid/gas. when it runs it runs pretty great but it dossent idle i need to hold the gass pedal in.
i have changed petrol, fuel filter, washed the idle Control valve and changed the hoses too. and spark plugs from bocsh
i have checked for leaks With spraying starting fluid around and found a vacum leak at one of the injectores

Out Of Control!!
Sounds like a faulty throttle body---the diagnostics are difficult therefore see someone who knows the engine and at least has a pulse counter!

Out Of Control!!
If that is the real case than you have many options---1, sell the car, 2, look elsewhere for a mechanic that knows the engine, 3, learn yourself the engine and study at startekinfo.com!

Joakim if you have leaking injector seals i would start there first .Check out all the small micro vacuum pipes and joints ..around the engine along with the fuses in the fuse box give them a turn in fuse holder. And check all earth points .All these help the starting up of the engine... The fuel distributor sits on a large rubber boot type seal .These leak through splits.. Do you have a manual ?
