Does anyone know if the w124 cabriolet hood is the same hood as the w124 sedans? I need to find a replacement hood (in black). Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Short answer - yes.

Longer answer - there are two different hoods, depending on the year of your car. Here in the U.S., any W124 made from 1986-1993 have the original hood, with a separate grill. If your car is from the 1994-1995 production years, it has the more aerodynamic integrated grill.

Beyond that, it doesn't matter which body style the hood is from - sedan, wagon, coupe or Cabrio- the hood is the same.

I've been through this with both of my W124's - I just bought a used black hood for my '94 Coupe from a '94 sedan. My blue '89 Coupe has a hood from a '90 wagon. Straight and easy swap, takes fifteen minutes to do.
