W124 300 CE 1991 (AMG?) Bumpers

I found car that looks really nice but have some doubts regarding bumpers...I do not see any upgraded bumpers. Not familiar with MB much...

Is it wright or was modified?

Hard to say for certain with just these two grainy pic's. But I'd guess someone mounted 500E front fenders and front bumper, also appears the rear arches were custom enhanced with a 500E rear bumper. And of course they put on facelift hood and headlights, parking lights and tail lights. The wheels are 18" Mono II's, which were SL 129 and E55 wheels. notice they don't stick out of the fenders, which means the fenders are 500E widened arches type.

Interesting CE, half way to being a real 500CE.. like to hear more about it, more pictures...

Note for the original poster, this CE has had a significant amount of valuable work done, in the attempt to create the 500E look, using 500E parts.
This would be a worthy car to get serious about, but I bet the owners has spent $$$$ to get it this way, and won't let it go cheaply...

Thanks for your reply guys. I do really much appreciate that. So the front side panels are the same from sedan and coupe version?

Yes, all body panels ahead of the windshield are interchangeable between all models of 124's just by bolting on parts.

The wider 500E front fenders and bumper can be bolted onto any model 124.
The rear panels changed to wide fenders requires custom bodywork.

If you can, post some more pictures of this CE

PS: If your interested, here is some great reading about how a coupe or estate can be converted into a 500E look-a-like

The 1st 2 threads are the same coupe build into a 500E look-a-like, the 3rd thread is a build that not only makes an estate look like a 500E, but it installs the 500E motor as well. It would be interesting on the coupe your looking at to see if they did anything with the power train.

This coupe built by "bahnstormer" has got to be my favorite coupe I've seen.. awesome

Actually I'm looking for MB W124 some special version. I found car from above pictures but is already sold Now my second target is this W124 '88 E300 with AMG Package. My question is: Is it really valuable car, with AMG kit factory fitted or just been built by the owner? As far as I know needs to get resprayed but It's not a big issue for me so I can consider all costs to the balance of final price. Very attractive car in my opinion, nice leather seats, but I just want to know your opinion guys. Thank You
