Hi Everybody, Newbie here. I'm one of those "all cars" guys, that loves all kinds of interesting cars. My only experience with Mercedes was drooling over a 1955 Mercedes 190 Convertible in a junkyard when I was sixteen, and also currently owning a super nice 2002 S500 Designo Edition in Designo Mocha Metallic with pumpkin/brown interior..... Anyway, I was walking through a junkyard last week and saw this awesome car, 1994 E320 AMG with Lorinser package. It's got the flared front fenders, front and rear spoilers, custom lights, etc.. There was a valet ticket in it from only last year to a high end restaurant area in town, so I'm thinking someone elite owned it and also drove it up until last year. I don't know why anyone would throw this super awesome car in the junkyard. Well here it will sit until it gets ripped apart and then crushed, I don't anticipate many parts getting taken off of it because the geographic area that it's in does not recognize collector Mercedes' in any way. Being a car guy, I would love to buy it and save it, but in my state, once cars go through the junkyard gates, the paperwork and the car is to get destroyed by law.
Well I was hoping someone could tell me more about this car, was it custom made or a factory AMG Lorinser supercar? Might anyone know production figures? Is it super rare? Is it common to see these?
fake AMG,now C36 was a amg. lots of dummys put a sticker on,or wheels, and exhaust.See on Ebay all the time.
well, it looks like that coupe actually had the authentic AMG body kit, which wasn’t cheap. Interesting to me, because there was a blue coupe in the salvage yard here in Los Angeles last month that had that body kit as well, and you don’t see a lot of them. If you wanted a real deal AMG body kit for a C124 coupe it was all there... but I had zero interest, though I thought about grabbing the pieces and selling them after cleanup.
