1995 E300D exhaust
I'm not new here but had to rejoin because it didn't recognize my email. maybe I've been away to long. But that
is not the issue.
I've had this car for years and it has been good to me. It now has in excess of 300K on it and the exhaust system
needs to be addressed. The catalyzer is burned off on the rear and, as some of you know, the cost of the part is
about what the car is worth well used; which it is.
I am not ready to give up on this thing quite yet, on the contrary, it performs like it is ready for another few hundred K.
I don't want to take it to an exhaust shop and have the pipe made to replace the catalyzer. I'd rather just buy the parts
and fix it myself, as that is my normal MO.
Anyone know where I can get the collector for the two header pipes so I can clear up the rumbling issue. Did I say this thing
is really LOUD!!!
Thanks guys,
John

not sure if the diesel version exhaust and catalytic converter are the same on the gas e420... but if you find a source please post or let me know as i am in need of catalytic converter for my '95 e420. mine is low mileage and i had hoped to take it into the 300K+ range.
