1994 E320 W124 Varying Carbon on Pistons
Hello folks,
I am redoing my head gasket on my 1994 E320 with 198,000 miles and when I removed the head I noticed no six piston after a spray of wd40 and a quick wipe it was pristine clean and all the other pistons have some carbon build up - surprisingly no 1 piston had not much at all - with minimal elbow grease it is cleaning well. Why is no 6 so clean with no carbon build up??

Not complaining, but my question is why is no six piston as well as the valves to pristine? The car has always run like a charm.
