I know that when you turn off the traction control it still reacts when there is slippage at the wheels. Is there a way to disable it? I realize that losing the traction control will also defeat the ABS. I read somewhere before that disconnecting the front wheel speed sensors disables it. Is there an easier way?

Turbo Diesel
there is a kit in the performance products catalog that disables traction.
it is made special for the 500E.
it's pretty expensive thoguh . . . $450-$500 i think.
needs "proffessional installation" too...if that matters to you.
it's in any 124 performance parts catalog . . . an easy find.
i looked online to no avail, but when im back at my house i'll post the link from the catalog.

Disconnecting the speed sensors IS the easiest way to disable the ASR...plugs are located near/on the front shock towers on the 500Es.
If you are too lazy to open the hood and have money to spend...get the switch installed. If you are handy you can install it yourself. They are all over-priced IMO though. I just disconnect my plugs....no biggy.
