Euro 300E lights on a US spec 500E?

Euro 300E lights on a US spec 500E?
Hello all. I have a question. I plan to purchase a set of euro 300E lights. I want to make sure that they will fit on my us spec 500E. While I know that the euro 500E lights are better, The car will not be driven at night much (weekend car) and I am primarily doing the switch for appearance. Having said that, my US spec 500e lights seem to contain the high beam bulb in the same place that the 300E contains the fogs. Will the swap work and fit properly?
I would appreciate any help on this matter.

those lights are interchangeable.
you may have to re-work some wiring, otherwise your upper fog lights will come on with high beams.
the 500e euro's look great with the chrome look, for me where i live the fogs can be used a lot more.
the lens was changed a bit when cars were face lifted in '94.
get apropriate year euro's
hella or bosch will give the best quality fit and finish.

Spend the little bit of extra cash and buy the correct lites for the car...try PUMA...they had the best prices on Hellas in the USA.
Putting 300E lites in a 500E would de-value it IMO and other 500E owners would probably question your motives...but they certainly would work.
