Tail Light Problem
Hello forum!
I recently acquired a 1995 E320. I've been having a particular tail light issue, which has been bugging me for the past few days ... let me explain:
When the light switch is off and I hold the brake pedal, the three brake lights light up (middle, and lower two) however the lower two are quite dim. Additionally, the instrument cluster and climate control lights light up ...
When the light switch is on and I hold the brake pedal, the middle brake light lights up, the right lower lights up, however, the left lower completely distinguishes (turns off).
Things that I have done so far:
- Inspected both bulb carriers for grounding/connectors
- Cleaned the male end of the bulb carrier
- Changed all light bulbs to new ones
- Inspected the Light Control Fault Module (part #126 542 01 32) ... no obvious signs of burnt solder
If you have anything else to add, please help me out! At this point I am completely stumped, I have never seen such a strange issue before...
Many thanks!
