On the 90' 300E (4matic) and a 93' 300E (4matic) both cars the 4 matic is off, and the light stays on the dash all the time. My question is, what if any can be done to fix the 4matic is it some kind of fluid or what... also is there any way to get the light to go off the dash.

The light obviously indicates some kind of fault. First you have to find and rectify the fault. Do you have the factory service literature?

I don't have any factory material to help me with this problem..
I looked for a haynes manual for this car, but no luck.

I did the test between poles 1-5 by the battery, the 4matic light blinked 11 times on both attemps.

They say its a steering angle sensor, does anyone know where this is located?
any help much appreciated....
