90 300e Won't Idle

My 1990 300E won't idle and requires depressing the gas pedal slightly to restart. The car has had slow/rough idle on the first start lately. Also, one time after it died, I was able to restart the engine and the check engine light flickered with a slight change in the exhaust note each time the check engine light came on. The CE light does not stay on (are codes saved when fault occur?) and how do you retrieve codes? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The KE control does not store faults when the CE lamp is out. You retrieve them via the X11 diagnostic connector in the engine compartment on the driver-side wheel well. You need a pulse counter or an LED and some wires/alligator clips.

now it won't start

Now it will not start. The problem is in the Fuel injection system. The car will fire on a small amount of starting fluid and die. The ICV shows zero volts on the harness. Should it show some voltage KOEO?

Yesterday the A/C compressor would not engage. I drove home on the highway with no problem except the A/C not working. When I exited the highway and came to a stop the car died. It would restart if I opened the throttle slightly but it would not idle. Once I got moving the engine ran fine. Come to a stop it died. Today after the engine cooled, I can't get it to start. Can the OVP relay causes this? How can you test the OVP? Thanks for an input.
