Vickers Tandem Pump Rebuild Kit

Hey all,

First post, and new to the W124 world! I've been an air-cooled Porsche guy for years (mainly SC/964/993) and am a proud owner of my first tank, a 1989 300TE.

I have a power steering pump leak that I believe is causing drive belt slip, and in turn a "belt slip fault" in my AC system, resulting in intermittent compressor behavior. Whether or not that is in fact the root cause of of the dodgy compressor behavior, I'd like to rebuild the obviously leaky pump. Searching through prior posts, it seems like rebuild kit 000 460 80 80 is the kit that should work for me. However, this kit was recently NLA'd from Mercedes, and I'm having a hard time figuring out where to go from here.

So my question to the collective is this, is that part number correct? If so, anyone have any secrets for sourcing? If not, does anyone know the correct rebuild kit and where to source?

Thanks in advance!

There was a post about rebuilding the tandem pump over at benzworld dot org a few months ago. Search for it in the 124 area.
