Howdy everyone!
I am posting to ask for help diagnosing a problem with my 1995 E300 diesel. I have recently acquired this car roughly six months ago, but a few days ago, upon attempting to start the car, the car did not crank at all, simply made a "click" (I assume this is some electronics relay?). There was no "sign" of the impending failure in other starts, except for the start I did four hours earlier where this behavior happened once but then cranked fine after turning the cabin heating off and trying again.
I have been using the car mostly for short commutes; It did have some trouble starting previously (I had to crank the car for some time to start it) due to dirty glow plugs, but that shouldn't be related to the starter and what I assume is the car's electrical system.
Does this behavior seem familiar to anyone, or could they offer some insight as to how I would go about diagnosing this problem?

Where could I find info on the locations of the car relays and their part IDs/#s for ordering?
Also-- is that the only possibility? what is your rationale
