Question about lowering(300E)
I can get the Eibach springs for the W124 for a good price, but I've been told for the longest time that putting lowering springs on stock shocks is NOT a good idea. What is your take on this? Would it be alright for my car if I stayed with the stock shocks and put on the Eibach springs? Or are new shocks necessary? And if new shocks are necessary, do you recommend any certain shocks? I know about the bilstein shocks, but wanted to know if there were any other options out there. Also, if you recommend any other springs or setups for lowering my 300E, I'd like to hear them. You CAN use lowering springs on factory shocks, it just won't ride as well as with performance shocks. I did this for a while until I saved up the cash to buy Koni red's. You do not have to buy them at the same time at all.
