All possible reasons for draining fuel pressure?

Are there any ways FP can drain off immediately to 25lbs (from 80+) besides check valve, accumulator and FD plunger? This is what's happening, but just replaced my check valves and clamped off the accumulator, no fuel leaking out the FD holes and I still have rapid drain back, bad check valve out of the box? Any ideas appreciated (m103 89 wagon).
